We are so very impressed with this company. This is the second large tree removal job that we had accomplished with them. They are great to work with very prompt and timely as as well as as professional in their overall approach to the business. The guys that do the work on cutting down, the trees are amazing. The equipment they use is top-notch and really provides them an opportunity to do the work without causing on due damage to your lawn, etc.. We would definitely use them again and would encourage everybody else in the Service area to do so. Can’t say enough good things about them

We had a large tree limb snap and it was dangling precariously by the road in front of our house. When I explained the situation to Sean, he had his crew come out the same day to take care of it. This is my 2nd time using AllScapes for tree services, and both times I've been very impressed with their knowledge of trees and the quality of their work (safety, clean up, etc). I'm especially grateful this time because they quickly addressed a potentially dangerous situation, to help keep my family and my neighbors safe. Thanks AllScapes!

I was worried about an old tree in the back yard that had become diseased and was dropping branches. It hung over the yard and the house. I asked Allscapes if they could take it down and grind the stump before a 4th of July cookout and they were able to make time for us. The guys were careful, methodical, and respectful of property. While there they trimmed some out of control hedges (they look fantastic), pulled out two dying holly bushes and ground another older stump. Oh and trimmed some dead branches from a couple trees near the road. Add a reasonable price and we were very happy with the service. Highly recommend.

A large portion of my mature Maple tree came down in my yard. Further, the remaining portion of the damaged tree also needed to be removed. Compounding the problem, there was not direct vehicle access to the tree. Allscapes Tree Service viewed my difficult situation the same day that I called determining that they could extract the tree over a 6' stockade fence via an access road. Upon receiving RI Energy's permission to use their access road, Allscapes Tree Service arrived the following day removing the downed limb as well as the tree. Start to finish, Allscapes staff and workers were 'extremely ' helpful, professional and courteous. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up my yard as well as the access road. Their attention to detail is excellent and I will definitely call them in the future!!

Tree Care for Charlestown's Wooded and Coastal Properties

Charlestown is defined as much by its open land and wooded properties as by its coastline.

The town includes established residential areas, beach and seasonal properties, larger wooded lots, and substantial areas of open space. Those different property types create tree-care situations that do not always resemble work on a smaller suburban lot.

On wooded properties, homeowners may be managing multiple mature trees rather than one isolated landscape tree. Access can be more difficult, trees may be farther from driveways or roads, and work may need to be planned around wells, septic areas, stone walls, landscaping, or other property features.

Closer to Charlestown's coastal areas and salt ponds, wind and severe weather can create additional stress and storm-damage concerns. Seasonal properties can also present a different maintenance issue: tree problems may develop while the property is not occupied year-round and become apparent only when owners return or prepare the property for heavier summer use.

AllScapes provides professional tree care throughout Charlestown based on the actual tree and property—not a generic service package.

Depending on the situation, that may mean maintaining a healthy tree through pruning, evaluating a declining tree with our Certified Arborist Services, removing a hazardous tree, grinding an old stump, relocating a valuable tree, or clearing part of a larger property for another use.

Tree Services Available in Charlestown

AllScapes provides comprehensive tree care for residential, commercial, and larger properties throughout Charlestown. These compact service introductions connect visitors to the definitive Rhode Island service page for each type of work.

Tree Removal

Dead, damaged, declining, or poorly positioned trees can threaten homes, driveways, utility areas, and other parts of a Charlestown property. On wooded or larger lots, removal planning may also depend heavily on how crews and equipment can reach the tree and safely remove material from the site.

Tree Trimming and Pruning

Not every tree problem requires removal. Professional pruning can remove dead or damaged branches, improve clearance around buildings and driveways, manage overgrowth, and support healthier long-term tree structure.

Certified Arborist Services

When the condition of a tree is unclear, an arborist assessment can help determine whether monitoring, treatment, selective pruning, or removal is appropriate. This can be particularly valuable before making decisions about mature trees that contribute shade, privacy, or character to a Charlestown property.

Stump Grinding and Removal

Old stumps can interfere with lawn restoration, woodland-edge maintenance, new planting areas, driveways, landscaping, or future property improvements. AllScapes provides stump grinding and removal based on stump size, access, and what the property owner plans to do with the area afterward.

Tree Transplanting and Installation

Healthy trees that interfere with construction or landscape changes may sometimes be candidates for relocation instead of removal. AllScapes can also install established trees where appropriate for screening, landscape design, or property improvement.

Emergency Tree Services

Storms and high winds can leave Charlestown property owners dealing with broken branches, damaged trees, and fallen trees requiring prompt attention. AllScapes provides emergency tree work when damage creates an immediate concern around homes, vehicles, access areas, or other property features.

Land Clearing and Site Work

Charlestown's larger and more heavily wooded properties make land clearing particularly relevant. AllScapes provides tree and brush clearing for property improvements, construction preparation, and larger site projects where unwanted trees or vegetation need to be removed.

Tree Work in Charlestown and South County

The best evidence that AllScapes serves a particular market is completed work—not simply repeating the town name.

No tree-service photograph in the supplied materials was verified as an AllScapes Charlestown project, so this draft intentionally uses a genuine company-wide AllScapes image without changing its metadata to Charlestown.

As Charlestown projects are documented, this section should showcase actual work completed in town, including the service performed, property conditions, real photographs, and a customer review when one is available and approved.

Particularly useful future proof would include a wooded-property removal, storm-damaged tree work, difficult access, land clearing, arborist evaluation, stump grinding, or work around a seasonal property. Until those projects are verified, they should not be invented merely to fill the layout.

Managing Trees on Larger and Wooded Charlestown Properties

Tree care changes when a property contains a substantial wooded area instead of a handful of isolated landscape trees.

Property owners may be dealing with multiple mature trees, deadwood along the edge of a yard, trees close to driveways or structures, storm-damaged trees farther from normal equipment access, or wooded areas that need selective clearing rather than complete removal.

Those projects require decisions about more than the individual tree. Access, terrain, surrounding vegetation, structures, septic areas, landscaping, and how removed material will leave the property can all affect the work.

AllScapes evaluates these conditions before recommending the appropriate equipment and approach. Depending on the property, the right solution might involve:

  • Selective tree removal
  • Pruning around occupied parts of the property
  • Removal of hazardous deadwood
  • Stump grinding
  • Clearing an overgrown area
  • Arborist evaluation of mature trees worth preserving
  • Broader land clearing for a planned property improvement

Tree Care Near Charlestown's Coastal Areas

Charlestown's coastal environment extends beyond the oceanfront. The town includes salt-pond areas such as Ninigret Pond, Quonochontaug Pond, and Green Hill Pond, along with beach and seasonal communities.

For property owners, that creates a combination of tree-care considerations. Trees on more exposed sites may experience strong winds and storm conditions. Properties that are not occupied year-round may go longer between routine inspections. Trees and branches that seemed manageable during the off-season may become more important once driveways, yards, decks, and outdoor areas return to heavier seasonal use.

Before the summer season or after major storms, property owners may want to evaluate:

  • Broken or hanging limbs
  • Trees leaning toward occupied areas
  • Dead trees near driveways or homes
  • Branches extending over roofs or outdoor living spaces
  • Trees showing unexplained decline
  • Stumps interfering with heavily used parts of the property

These conditions do not apply equally to every Charlestown property. The tree and its actual surroundings should determine the service recommendation.

Tree Service for Seasonal and Second-Home Properties

Charlestown's summer population is substantially larger than its year-round population, reflecting the importance of seasonal and vacation properties in the town.

For seasonal homeowners, tree maintenance can be easy to overlook because the property may not be occupied throughout the year.

A branch damaged during winter weather, a tree that begins leaning, canopy dieback, or a fallen tree in a less-visible part of the property may not be noticed until the owner returns.

Tree work may also become more disruptive once the property is being used heavily for the summer. When practical, evaluating questionable trees and completing routine pruning, removals, or stump work before peak seasonal use can make the property easier to maintain and reduce avoidable conflicts with driveways, outdoor living areas, and landscaping.

AllScapes provides tree services for both year-round and seasonal property owners throughout Charlestown.

Storm-Damaged and Hazardous Trees in Charlestown

Severe weather can damage healthy and declining trees alike.

Broken limbs may remain suspended overhead. Trees can split, lean, or fall. Damage on heavily wooded properties may also occur away from the main house but still affect driveways, utility areas, neighboring property, or other commonly used areas.

After significant weather, avoid standing beneath obviously damaged trees or attempting to remove large hanging branches yourself.

AllScapes can evaluate damaged trees and determine whether the appropriate response involves pruning, removal, or another tree-care recommendation.

When utility lines are involved, stay clear of the area and contact the appropriate utility provider before approaching the tree.

Preserve Mature Trees When It Makes Sense

Removing a tree is sometimes necessary, but it should not automatically be the starting point.

On wooded and established Charlestown properties, mature trees may provide privacy, shade, screening, or an important transition between the developed portion of the property and surrounding natural areas.

If a tree is healthy enough to maintain, Tree Trimming and Pruning may solve clearance or dead-branch concerns without removing the tree.

If its health or structural condition is uncertain, AllScapes' Certified Arborist Services can help evaluate what appears to be happening and whether monitoring, treatment, pruning, or removal is appropriate.

Healthy trees that conflict with a planned project may sometimes even be candidates for Tree Transplanting.

When a tree is dead, severely compromised, or creates a condition that cannot reasonably be corrected, professional Tree Removal may be the appropriate recommendation.

Tree and Land Clearing for Charlestown Property Improvements

Larger or wooded properties sometimes require more than individual tree removal.

Property owners, contractors, and developers may need to clear trees and vegetation for a new driveway, building area, expanded yard, landscape project, or other site improvement.

AllScapes provides land-clearing and site-work capabilities for projects where trees, brush, and other vegetation need to be removed as part of a larger plan.

The scope should be determined by the actual property and intended use. Selective clearing may be appropriate when the objective is to preserve parts of the existing landscape, while other projects may require more substantial clearing and material removal.

Tree Work Planned Around the Property

On a wooded or larger Charlestown property, reaching the tree can sometimes be as important as removing or pruning it.

Long driveways, narrow access areas, septic systems, wells, stone walls, gardens, wooded terrain, and established landscaping can all influence the equipment and work method appropriate for a project.

AllScapes evaluates access and surrounding property conditions before work begins.

Depending on the project, professional tree work may involve climbing, rigging, aerial access, specialized lifts, stump-grinding equipment, or other machinery appropriate for the site.

The objective is to complete the agreed work while minimizing unnecessary disturbance to the parts of the property that should remain intact.

Tree Problems Charlestown Property Owners Should Watch For

On a wooded property, it can be difficult to notice every change occurring in every tree. Pay particular attention to trees near homes, driveways, parking areas, outdoor living spaces, and other parts of the property that people regularly use.

Consider having a tree evaluated when you notice:

  • Dead branches over occupied areas
  • Broken or hanging limbs after a storm
  • A tree beginning to lean
  • Trunk cracks or splitting
  • Major canopy dieback
  • Unusual leaf loss or discoloration
  • Visible decay or cavities
  • Fungal growth
  • Changes around the roots
  • Trees interfering with driveways or access
  • Limbs contacting roofs or structures
  • Standing dead trees near frequently used areas
  • Trees that conflict with planned clearing or construction
  • A mature tree whose condition is uncertain

The appropriate response may be pruning, monitoring, arborist evaluation, or removal. The purpose of professional evaluation is to determine which action makes sense for that particular tree and property.

What Affects the Cost of Tree Service in Charlestown?

Tree-service pricing depends on the work required and the conditions of the property. Factors can include:

  • Type of service
  • Tree size
  • Tree condition
  • Number of trees
  • Accessibility
  • Terrain
  • Distance from usable equipment access
  • Nearby structures
  • Septic or other sensitive property areas
  • Equipment requirements
  • Storm damage
  • Stump size
  • Material removal
  • Cleanup
  • Overall project complexity

Charlestown's larger and more wooded properties can make access and material handling particularly important cost variables.

Removing a tree beside an open driveway can be very different from working deeper into a wooded property or around established site features.

AllScapes provides free estimates so tree-service pricing can be based on the actual conditions of the property.
